Failure to return ‘borrowed’ equipment

Having been rather jumped into accepting work on our roof, the guys doing the job needed to borrow some petrol, and took our petrol can to finish a job on another property. The promise to fill the can and return it was not honoured, leaving us with the strong impression that this company is not one to be trusted.
